Similar to the Tokimeki Memorial series of dating simulators, players must organize their time and build up their attributes to give them a better chance of succeeding. Unlike traditional visual novels, each play-through of the game is played in a brisk hour-long pace that encourages replayability (with many alternate endings and special scenarios). Players control a student at 'Spooky High', a high-school inhabited by monsters of various tropes (including vampires, werewolves, ghosts, and demons), and have three weeks of getting involved in various (and often absurd) situations to win the heart of one of six other monsters.
